Christiaan Roos

Head of AI Transformations

Christiaan is a systems architect with over 15 years of experience in financial risk and decision-making models. He designs explainable, auditable systems at the intersection of finance, data, and AI. His strength lies in translating complex regulation and business processes into practical decision logic that works for executives and teams. He does not use AI as a trick, but as a tool within clear frameworks of responsibility, transparency, and human judgment. Christiaan leads our team for Microsoft and AI related automations.

Christiaan excels at:

  • Designing financial and operational systems that are auditable and explainable;
  • Risk modeling and scenario thinking, translating IFRS, Basel, and Solvency logic into practice;
  • Making assumptions, boundaries, and uncertainties explicit;
  • Building AI applications with proper governance, including logging, source references, and human-in-the-loop controls;
  • Speaking two languages: that of executives and that of developers;
  • Using AI to augment human judgment, not replace it

Recurring principles that define his work:

  • Decisions without explainability are unacceptable.
  • Structure comes before automation.
  • A conservative system that is correct is preferable to a clever system that surprises.
  • AI must fit within existing accountability, not sit alongside it.
  • Transparency is not a feature but a prerequisite.
  • Small, testable steps outperform big promises.
